The New World
Starring Colin Farrell Directed by Terence Malick

Newcomer, Terence Malick, can be forgiven for not having seen the direct to video Pocahontas 2, but I'm sure he saw the amazing Disney feature, Pocahontas starring a song by Peabo Bryson. It's an incredible bold move to remake an animated film into a live action feature, few films and directors can pull it off successfully (most notably Viva Rock Vegas and Space Jam), Malick does not have the directorial chops for this sort of stunt and it's apparent right from the get-go. No one in this movie is funny and the subject of sexual relations between 30 year old man and 15 year old girl are treated delicately and with intelligence making most of the crowd boo.

I would punch this movie in the craw if I saw it on the street, I would also tell them that Mark Gillis has been giving its sister the ol' quadruple eye.
