Indulged in Faxe Hands on Saturday night and then headed down to the Seahorse so that I could ultimately pour a glass of water over the head of a person I barely know while they were using the facilities in the Seahorse bathroom.

Rolled out of bed more than a little hungover. I was feeling rather confident that I would be ready to meet Gerry for the Burdocks' video shoot. I was quite sure that the posters were asking that the crowd wear 'blue scarves', Kathy pointed out that the posters read 'blue t-shirts'. I think I need to get my glasses replaced.

Showed up at the North St Church wearing a black t-shirt and feeling a little out of place. Usual assortment of miscreants showed up which lead to lots of pre-shoot heckling and wrestling. Eventually got supplied with a light blue Burdocks t-shirt, thus making me 'that guy'* for the first time in my life.

The shoot itself was pretty fun. We got to be the crowd at a Burdocks show. They lip synched and it was sort of difficult at the outset to act as we would at a show. As Gerry said "It's hard to feel cool." After a number of takes we sort of fell into our usual roles. Gerry kept on trying to get all up in the grill of the main character in the video as he wandered aimlessly through the crowd. Caleb danced with sass. Paul danced as though we were all on Soul Train. Jon Samuel, of course, spent most of the video shoot chewing out his agent and trying to arrange more face time.

The next day I tackled work of a different kind as I started at the library fulltime. I'm currently the guy in charge of "claims returned". Basically I deal with anyone who has taken out a book, lost it, and then says "Nah brah I brought that back like weeks ago." I'm more or less a book detective. I'm not quite lauded the same way Booka is, but I do have my own desk.

*"What's this? You're wearing the shirt of the band you're going to see? Don't be that guy."
