Why is it that when I do a favour for someone I end up regretting it?
Tonight I am performing at Gus's Pub along with Adam and the Accidents, the Crimson Tides, Their Majesties and BA Johnston. I think it's going to be great, the bands are pretty rad and BA is releasing a new cd.
I am feeling rotten and am kind of agitated and anxious so I am worried about doing this tonight.
I am just in a crabby mood and I shouldn't be because I just found out I am going to be an uncle.
It's due in April. I don't know what sex it is, so I'm going to call it and 'it', until it comes out of my sister's
body and they give it a proper name.
It is going to have cool shoes when it comes out. I'll try to be the cool uncle, but I'll probably be the uncle
whose life is always untracked, like the uncle in Back to the Future. I like the party where Marty talks to his
uncle when he's a baby and makes a reference to prison when the baby's in the crib. I hope my smartass nephew/niece
doesn't get access to time travel and make a joke at my expense when I can't defend myself.
In closing, doing favours sucks because it usually ends up mucking up your time and no one is appreciative anyway, so don't bother...unless I ask you for a favour and then it's totally different because I have never let anyone down, except for a few dozen people.
