I love expecting things in the mail and I love when the mail, once arrived, doesn't disappoint me.
The Fans of Bad Productions compilation (Killed by Canada) arrived today and it's great. I guess I am coloured by Die Brucke's inclusion on the compilation, but the songs I've heard so far (Career Suicide, the Hold, Think Don't Pray, The Bayonettes, Ak-47 and the Tranzmitors) sound great. So much playthrough value...so far. The Bayonettes song isn't as good as 'Stuck in a Rut', but I'm not complaining.

Last night we played with the Wednesday Night Heroes, A Global Threat and Risky Business. It was a pretty fun show and one of the first times in a while that Lachie, Mitch, Greg and I just hung out and talked about music etc. Lachie's been on tour and practices have been a little infrequent due to everyone's odd schedules. I'm excited to record and play our new songs. We're going to try and put out a 7" with the Black Spokes before Lachie leaves. He's going to move to Toronto to be with the love of his life which is a pretty brilliant reason to leave anywhere. I am happy for him, but bummed that we won't be making music together. Most of what I know about being in a band, I learned from him. I think that we (Die Brucke) have good chemistry at the moment and it'll be different without Lachie.

The show was a lot of fun and there was a solid turnout for such a short notice.

I have so much work to do, so I best cut this short.
