Summer of the Pills
What's in store for today? Well you want to know who's a sick xxxx? Albert! I've been friends with Albert for about 4 years now and the longer I know him the weirder he gets. 'But Mark I know Albert' you say, 'and he does have redeeming qualities...what about his dedication to kicking his pill habit back when he was 14?' True you're right. Albert is probably one of the most sincere kids I know and his ability to make a puppy dog face on command can melt even the coldest of hearts.
Post ScriptIn the fall of 2001, I was really into Kill the Man Who Questions (a punk band from Philadelphia) and tried to ape essentially everything they did. I stole the idea of 'reviewing' my friends from the lead singer's website. I thought it would be funny to make references to Albert's juvenile predilection towards pills. Whether this is true or not, I really have no idea. I have never taken pills, unless you count Motrin 4's. Motrin 4's make you have really great dreams. I made a half assed attempt at putting out Albert's band's record in the summer of 2003. Then we stopped being friends when they wanted to put it out themselves. I'm cold blooded like that.
