When I worked at the Banff Centre, one of my first major projects was putting together a reading list on cyborgs, artificial life, and sentient circuitry for a exhibition at the art gallery.
Ultimately it just came down to me googling words related to those concepts and tracking down art and artists relevant to the exhibition.
I came across this site which has no relevance to those ideas and concepts at all, but still pretty amazing nonetheless : David S Bakker
My favourite diorama of his is 'Love Note' :
I couldn't find that site after my first visit. It was nice to stumble upon it yesterday.
