Whenever I envision my workplaces as a sitcom I always hope that they'll be wacky and exciting like that great tv show, WKRP, but then I go into work and they turn out to be boring, repetitive, and annoying like that shitty 80's show, Throb that had the singer from the Nylons.

I feel really old when I'm walking down the street and 13 year olds do that goofy 13 year olds thing and they harass you or make fun of you. I feel like saying "dudes, I'm on your side, I like 'punk' music!" And then I realize how dumb that sounds.
I feel really young when people at work ask me about skateboarding which is not really a topic I know a whole lot about though or they let me get away with stupid things, such as charging someone 10 dollars for 140 dollar book, I've done because I'm new and well and it wasn't my fault exactly either.
I feel really stupid when a 15 year old has to explain to me what gerrymandering is. I really had no idea what it was when he said the word, I just nodded and smiled. He knew right away I didn't know what it was.
I feel smart when I can give play by play for the new Avril Lavigne video that I've seen only once. It's so great that she writes all her own music now. You really get a chance to see her shine.
