A while back my boss lent me Boogie Nights, knowing I was a big fan of Punch Drunk Love and hadn't seen too much of PT Anderson's other films. I didn't have a VCR at the time, there was one in the common room of the building I lived in, but I didn't have one in my room. So the movie sat in my room unwatched for about a month.

My boss finally asked for the video back and I didn't have the guts to tell him I had the movie for a month and hadn't watched it. I returned it to him and the next day he started asking me what I liked about the movie and referencing specific characters. We were sitting at our respective desks and as luck would have it the back of my monitor faces him, so that my screen isn't in sight. I kept on doing the whole "Look at the sky, while you try and look like you're accessing memory files bit" while I searched the internet movie database for any relevant information about Boogie Nights.

I ended up looking like I really enjoyed and thoroughly got into the movie as I brought up things he had forgotten or overlooked. Pretty soon I was believing that I had actually seen the movie.

IMDB is like the bible around these parts.
