What if they threw a lockout and noone came?

I spent two weeks getting up every morning excited to go to work, now I feel like I have been slugged in the gut. I feel like staying up all night hoping something good will happen, but I don't want to wear down. I guess lockouts/strikes are like marathons, you have to save something for later.

There's no one in the building's we're picketing, so there's no one to direct frustration at. You can yell 'scab' at a brick building, but the building ain't gonna feel bad. I'm not sure what tricks are available to me so that I can feel as though I'm making some sort of progress. I suppose I could bring a book with me, I might as well put my skill at reading the newspaper while walking to good use. Finally it's my chance to shine.

Some people on the picket line are speed picketing in an attempt to lose weight. I don't really like sprints.
