It's going to be a busy week, Die Brucke is playing two shows, and I'm opening up for Jack MacDonald.
We're playing with the Hold and Gilbert Switzer on Saturday at Stage Nine. That show is five dollars and starts at 10. I'm excited to play with both bands. It's the first time we've played since the house show at "Woozely Farm". Which reminds me I hate naming houses and yeah, yeah I know..."people in glass houses"
The other show is at the Rock Garden and it's with Earthquake, Get Tested and Look Back. That show is also five bucks and it starts at 1:30 pm. Earthquake are from Syracuse, NY. The last time we played the Rock Garden, there was a definite crusty feel to the show, this time it's hardcore. I like that we have a dirty guy with dreds in our band and more than one edge breaker. I am just joking Mitch...you never broke edge.
On the fifth of January I am opening up for Jack MacDonald at Gus's Pub. The other bands that are playing are Ceti Alpha (the planet that Kahn was stranded on in Star Trek) and the Jeff Coll Five. I don't know what I am going to do, but trust me it will be humiliating and I will keep it to under 25 minutes so it won't be totally aggravating.
I also have to pay off more of my student loan and the power bill as well as my credit card. Most of my student loan got taken care of which made me feel like I was righting things. Afterwards I realized that I still have a pretty sizeable debt, however a friend reminded me this week that we're all experiencing the same drama and it's not unique to me so I shut my cake hole.
