Now It Hurts Like Fuck
I took a nap this afternoon and now, for the life of me, I can't sleep. I'm not sure whether it's the incredibly annoying party next door or that when I think of things that I accomplished today, 'going to the market' tops the list.

I thought that I would have an all ages venue for the Regulations show by now, but unfortunately that fell through today. I guess I should have jumped on it earlier. I was really excited to do it at One World after the show last night with the Douche Bags, Get Tested, Disskum and Be Bad. I didn't catch the Douchebags, but did see Get Tested. They were pretty good, but there was some moron whose idea of dancing was pushing the crowd back. It's just annoying to go to a venue like the One World that's kind of confined and have some idea push you up against the counter. Dancing's rad and I have no problem with being pushed around every once in a while, but...I just like to complain.
Disskum were great, I've seen them more intense, but I don't think I've seen them as tight. It's too bad that Brett and Bryson are leaving the city as they're a great band that write catchy songs. I had always hoped that Die Brucke would release a split with them, but I guess it's not to be.
Be Bad were pretty fantastic for the first 2, maybe 3 songs, and then the cops showed up and they decided to shut things down. Tobias said "Let's go swarm people!" It's kind of frustrating that the Rolling Stones concert will have an exemption to the noise bylaw, but an all ages show can't go on past 8:40. I understand they why, but it still sucks. There's very few if any youth centres in downtown Halifax, so it sucks when the cops have to crack down on an all ages show.
The rest of the night after that was a wash leading into today.
Now I'm just worried about all things I should have done and didn't get accomplished today.
